Privacy notice

Last updated 2026-10-27

Draft. This document is pending review by a qualified lawyer before HER AGAIN opens to the public. It describes how the product is built today.

This notice explains what HER AGAIN collects, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.

Quateria Inc., operating as Her Again Digital Doula is responsible for your personal information. Our privacy officer is to be published before launch, reachable at to be published before launch.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address and an account ID.
  • Profile: the nickname, country and province you choose to give, and any onboarding answers. All optional.
  • Emails you paste into the Care inbox: used only to draft that one reply (sent to Anthropic for drafting) and never stored. HER AGAIN never connects to your mailbox.
  • Your content: check-ins, journal entries, reflection conversations, journey progress, milestones, trusted contacts and reminders. Written text is encrypted before storage.
  • Billing: if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment. We store your plan and subscription status, never your card number.
  • Records: which versions of our terms and notices you agreed to, and an audit log of sensitive account actions, without the content of anything you wrote.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell or rent your data.
  • We don’t use your private content for advertising or audience targeting.
  • We don’t use your private content to train AI models.
  • We don’t share your content with therapists or other professionals unless you choose to.
  • We don’t use third-party advertising trackers.

Who processes data for us

  • Supabase hosts our database and sign-in. Data is stored in Canada (Montréal region). Written content is encrypted by us before it reaches the database.
  • Netlify hosts the website and runs our server code, in the United States. Your content passes through it while you use the site; it is not stored there.
  • Anthropic (United States) generates replies when you use an AI feature. Only what that feature needs is sent. Under its commercial terms Anthropic does not train on this data.
  • Stripe (Canada and United States) processes payments and keeps payment records.

Some providers process information outside your province or outside Canada, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We choose providers with contractual privacy and security commitments. Confirmation of each provider’s agreement and retention terms is part of our pre-launch legal review.

Cookies and similar technology

  • Sign-in cookies keep you signed in. They are strictly necessary and expire when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
  • Your device remembers your light or dark theme and, on the 2 AM page, your country for crisis lines. This stays in your browser.
  • We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.

How long we keep it

  • Your content stays until you delete it or delete your account.
  • Reflection conversations follow the retention you choose: not kept, 30 days, or one year.
  • Deleting your account permanently removes your content and profile from HER AGAIN. Payment records for any membership are kept by Stripe, and by us where tax law requires, for as long as the law requires (generally six years in Canada).

Your rights

You can see, download, correct and delete your information at any time from Settings. Depending on where you live, including under Canada’s PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, you may have further rights. For anything you can’t do yourself, use our contact page or write to to be published before launch. We respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If something goes wrong

If a breach of security creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.

Age

HER AGAIN is for adults 18 and over.
